About David Roman

David Roman is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in the Global Investment Research Division with responsibility for the MedTech and Healthcare IT sectors.

Previously, he was President and CEO of Acutus Medical, Inc., an early state company developing and commercializing advanced cardiac mapping technologies. During his tenure, Roman raised $87 million in secondary equity capital and executed the sale of Acutus’ left-heart access portfolio to Medtronic. Prior to joining Acutus, Roman spent 5-years at Baxter International as Vice President, Strategy and FP&A, where he led the company’s annual strategic planning and capital allocation processes. Roman began his career in equity research at Morgan Stanley covering MedTech (2004-2009) and led the Goldman Sachs team from 2009-2016. Roman holds 20-years of MedTech industry experience in advisory, investing, and operational roles.

He received his bachelor’s degree in modern languages from the University of Pennsylvania.
