About Kevin Thomas, MD, FHRS
Dr. Thomas is an Associate Professor of Medicine with Tenure in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular disease, Section of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center. He maintains multiple leadership positions across Duke Health and the School of Medicine including: Vice Dean for Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Assistant Dean for Underrepresented Faculty Development, the Director of Faculty Diversity and Health Disparities Research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), Associate Director of the Duke CTSA TL-1 scholars program, Co-founder and Co-director of the Duke Health Disparities Research Curriculum, and Co-director of the Research Education and Training core of the Duke REACH EQUITY Center of Excellence in health disparities research. He has over 80 peer reviewed publications and has received research funding from NIH/AHA/ and PCORI.
He is a member of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s advisory council. He has a large clinical practice and specializes in the management of complex arrhythmias.
