About Kristen Bova Campbell, PharmD, BCPS (AQ-Cardiology), CPP
Kristen Bova Campbell is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Senior Research Associate in Electrophysiology at Duke University Hospital. She established the Clinical Pharmacist role with the Electrophysiology division at Duke and works in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She is a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner and manages both the Antiarrhythmic Medication Monitoring and Anticoagulation clinics. Dr. Campbell is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Campbell served as the Inaugural Chair for the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Cardiology Council between 2017 and 2020. In that role she developed the first board-certified cardiology pharmacist exam. Dr. Campbell was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Heart Rhythm Society and is the first pharmacist to serve in this capacity.
Dr. Campbell is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy and also teaches didactically at the Duke University School of Medicine and Duke University Physician Assistant Program. She served as Program Director for the PGY2 Cardiology Residency program for fourteen years. Dr. Campbell’s research interests include antiarrhythmic medication safety, anticoagulation, and arrhythmia screening.
