About Sanjiv Narayan, MD

Dr. Narayan is Professor of Medicine, Director of the T32 CHIP (Computational Heart Integrated Program) and Co-Director of the Arrhythmia Center at Stanford University. He directs the Computational Arrhythmia Research Laboratory, which works at the intersection of cardiovascular medicine, bioengineering and data science and has pioneered computerized mapping of atrial fibrillation and ventricular fibrillation to guide ablation, and risk stratification tools. He trained in medicine in Birmingham England, Harvard/Mount Auburn Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis, and in data science and software engineering in the UK, UCLA and UC Berkeley. Dr. Narayan has published over 300 articles. In 2022 he received the Distinguished Scientist award of the Heart Rhythm Society, and is a listed Top Doctor by Castle Connolly. Trainees in our lab have won research prizes and grants each year since 2003.
