About Adarsh Balaji, MD
Adarsh Balaji, MD, is a Cardiology Fellow at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. His clinical and research interests span cardiovascular disease, cardiac electrophysiology, medical device technology, and the application of artificial intelligence to cardiovascular care.
Dr. Balaji has contributed to cardiovascular research across areas including cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, interventional cardiology, and emerging technologies. His scholarly work has been presented at major cardiovascular scientific meetings and published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Balaji has a strong interest in cardiovascular innovation and entrepreneurship. He was awarded first place in the 2025 New York Chapter of the American College of Cardiology Shark Tank Challenge for Perpetua, an innovative concept for a self-sustaining pacemaker designed to address limitations associated with conventional pacemaker batteries.
