About Andre d'Avila, MA, MD, PhD

Dr. AndreĀ  d’Avila is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, where he serves as Director of Electrophysiology Research within the CardioVascular Institute and is a leader of the Harvard-Thorndike Electrophysiology Institute. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, with particular expertise in catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, and other complex rhythm disorders.

Dr. d’Avila is internationally recognized for his contributions to cardiac electrophysiology research and the development of advanced catheter ablation techniques. His clinical and investigative work focuses on improving the safety and effectiveness of ablation procedures, advancing therapies for ventricular and atrial arrhythmias, and evaluating emerging technologies for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders. As a prolific author and investigator, he has published extensively in leading cardiovascular journals and continues to shape the field through innovative research, physician education, and international collaboration.
