About Daniel Frisch, MD, FHRS
Dr. Daniel Frisch became the Section Chief of Electrophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2023 and Enterprise Chief of Electrophysiology in 2025. His predecessor started the program in 1980 and served as the director from 1980-2023.
Dr. Frisch is a Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Rochester with a degree in Chemistry and in Comparative Religions. He was awarded his MD degree from New York University. He completed his residency, internship, and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and fellowship in Clinical Cardiovascular Electrophysiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He joined the faculty of Thomas Jefferson University in 2007 as an assistant professor.
He has given over 50 invited lectures (nationally and internationally), has served organizing and participating roles in regional and national meetings, has been a reviewer for several electrophysiology and cardiology journals, has over 60 peer-reviewed publications, multiple abstracts and posters, is the principal investigator in several sponsored studies, has co-authored a digital text book, and appeared in one television commercial.
He is currently an full professor and his clinical and research interests are in the management of atrial arrhythmias and the use of wearable electrocardiography.
