About David N. Kenigsberg, MD, FHRS

David Noah Kenigsberg, MD, was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and moved to South Florida as a young child in 1978. He has resided in South Florida ever since, notwithstanding the time he spent training in Michigan and Virginia. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Susana, for over 25 years, and together they have six children, four girls and two boys, aged 15 to 24.

Dr. Kenigsberg attended the University of Miami for Undergraduate and Medical School as part of the combined six-year BS/MD program. He then did an internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He did his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital System in Michigan and served as the Chief Fellow during his third year of fellowship. Dr. Kenigsberg then went on to do a second two-year fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Kenigsberg opened his private EP practice in the Ft. Lauderdale area in July of 2007. In 2009, he co-founded Florida Heart Rhythm Specialists, an EP-only practice serving northern Broward County with over 30 employees, including three physician extenders. The practice has three office locations and provides EP care to 10 hospitals. In addition, Dr. Kenigsberg is the co-founder of Fort Lauderdale Heart and Rhythm Surgical Center, an outpatient surgery center specializing in interventional radiology, cardiac and EP procedures.

Dr. Kenigsberg holds several academic positions and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.
