About Ian Lentnek, MD
Dr. Ian Lentnek joined Philips as the Head of Medical and Clinical for Ambulatory Monitoring and Diagnostics (AM&D), in April 2026. He provides clinical and medical expertise to support strategic decisions in the AM&D business unit. He also leads multidisciplinary teams across medical affairs, clinical affairs, medical safety, health economics, market access and reimbursement to meet business needs and optimize portfolio decisions.
Ian is a practicing cardiologist with subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology and has a wealth of global experience in the medical devices industry. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Lahey Clinic. Ian began his career in private practice as a cardiologist and later worked with Endotronix, Varian and Siemens Healthineers, where he built comprehensive expertise, particularly in medical affairs, clinical development and corporate strategy, alongside direct patient care.
Prior to joining Philips, he served as Medical Director, Point of Care, at Siemens Healthineers. As a member of the leadership team, he led the medical affairs strategy for point-of-care diagnostics, supporting product development and medical strategy. He also served as a cardiovascular and electrophysiology specialist in medical affairs at Varian, where he oversaw a clinical trial investigating cardiac radio ablation for patients with high-risk, refractory ventricular tachycardia.
Outside of his professional activities, Ian enjoys sailing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
