Ishu Rao

Dr. Ishu Rao is the Medical Director and Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs for Impulse Dynamics, a role he has held since retiring from the practice of Electrophysiology in 2020. During his almost two-decade clinical career, he was instrumental in starting the EP program at the Heart Hospital Baylor Plano in north Texas and later opened the first EP lab at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California. His passion for educating his colleagues, peers, fellows, and others led him to become a sought-after collaborator for industry partners, eventually culminating with his joining Impulse Dynamics. In his current role, he leads the Medical Affairs team, supervises the company’s Medical Education efforts, is involved in Clinical, Regulatory, and Strategic initiatives, and provides guidance on all matters relating to patient safety.
