About John Triedman, MD

I am a Board-certified pediatric cardiologist specializing in pediatric rhythm disorders. My clinical practice includes catheter ablation, pacemaker and device implantation, inpatient and outpatient management. I am academically active in areas related to my clinical practice, having obtained research funding from the NIH and other sources in the past. Past research projects include modeling of defibrillation in the human torso, ultrasound guidance of cardiac interventions, and development of nonfluoroscopic techniques for catheter ablation. I have worked with the medical device industry on IP and R&D projects, as well as consulting for plaintiff and defendant’s lawyers on medical malpractice cases. I am past-president of the primary international subspecialty organization in our field, the Pediatric and Congenital EP Society and am active in leadership of the Heart Rhythm Society, currently as incoming Chair of the Ethics Committee.

More recently, I have worked to develop my role as a physician leader at Boston Children’s Hospital. I am Associate Chief of the Department of Cardiology and elected Treasurer of the Boston Children’s Hospital Physicians’ Organization. To enhance my administrative and business leadership skills, I have recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
