About Michael Adjei-Mosi
Michael, son of Ghanaian immigrants and raised in Houston, TX, grew up with his two older sisters. He earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Brown University. There, he discovered his love for combining medicine and modern technology, and actively participated in AI and bioinformatics research to improve detection of acute changes in hospitalized patients. After graduating in 2021, he sought exposure to the business side of healthcare and worked as an analyst at Health Advances, a healthcare consulting firm in San Francisco. This experience exposed him to the intricacies and shortcomings of the healthcare system, solidifying his decision to pursue medicine at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. During his first two years of medical school, Michael led the finances of the Black and Latino Student Organization (BALSO) as treasurer and spearheaded community outreach efforts for the Systems, Leadership, Integration, and Management (SLIM) student organization. He also remains a frequent volunteer at Pick-Up Sports and Health (PUSH).
Michael recently started his 3rd year of medical school and is on track to pursue a career in cardiology. He continues to explore his passion for integrating medicine and modern technology to advance patient care. Additionally, he is in the process of applying to Columbia Business School to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) to become a competent, well-rounded healthcare leader in the future.
