Michiel De Wever

Michiel De Wever is a cardiology resident and PhD researcher at Hasselt University, Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL), and KU/UZ Leuven, Belgium. His research focuses on digital cardiology, particularly the use of smartphone- and wearable-based photoplethysmography, artificial intelligence and remote rhythm monitoring for the diagnosis and management of atrial fibrillation. His work aims to translate digital technologies into clinical practice to improve patient-centered care and long-term arrhythmia management.
