About Mohamed Elshazly, MD, MBEE

Dr. Mohamed Elshazly is a cardiac electrophysiology physician with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine in Education City, Qatar and completed his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Elshazly also earned a master’s degree in biotechnology enterprise and entrepreneurship at the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, with a focus on fund raising strategies, marketing, regulatory landscape and IP laws. He has founded two startups in the telehealth and medical education space.

Dr. Elshazly is also an adjunct assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks for which he has received several research awards and grants and has led clinical trials in digital health.
