About Paul Zei, MD, PhD

Dr. Paul C. Zei is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Mass General Brigham at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital campus in Boston, MA USA, where he is Director of the Atrial Fibrillation Program, Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory, and Director of Clinical Research. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, also in Boston. Dr. Zei is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine (MSTP), after which he completed postgraduate training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

His clinical interests are in atrial fibrillation and complex arrhythmia management. He is a founding leader of the BWH Atrial Fibrillation Center of Excellence. He performs complex ablation and device implantation, with a focus on atrial ablation. His research interests include advanced mapping technologies, new ablation technologies, machine learning in electrophysiology, fluoroscopy elimination techniques, intracardiac echocardiography, and non-invasive stereotactic cardiac radioablation.
