About Prasanth Ganesan, PhD, MS
Prasanth “Prash” Ganesan is a Research Scientist at Stanford Medicine since 2023, where he joined as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2020. His primary research interest is in studying arrhythmia mechanisms using bioengineering and computational approaches. He received a Master’s and a PhD degree both focused on mapping abnormal electrical activity in atrial fibrillation (AF) using numerical simulations and clinical validations. Prior to working at Stanford, he worked in the medical device industry designing algorithms for EP recording system. He also worked at the US National Institutes of Health as a research fellow on Artificial Intelligence to analyze medical images. In 2022, he was recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for his contributions to healthcare and science. He has been awarded multiple patents for AF mapping and he has won awards at prestigious national and international conferences.
