About Rachita Navara, MD, FHRS

Dr. Navara is a bioengineer and triple board-certified EP cardiologist, who founded SafeBeat to address a direct clinical need she identified while taking care of patients with atrial fibrillation. An antidote to the data deluge, SafeBeat goes beyond diagnostics to guide cardiac therapeutics, streamlining titration and long-term monitoring of antiarrhythmic drugs – all from a phone. Centered on explainable AI, SafeBeat supports modern-day clinical workflows, enhances patient monitoring, and generates new billing opportunities. By transitioning ECG AI from research to real-world patient care, SafeBeat aims to expand access to mortality-reducing treatments and revolutionize atrial fibrillation management.

Dr. Navara is an NIH-funded principal investigator and has been internationally recognized for her atrial fibrillation research, and she has led numerous award-winning medical innovation teams within academia (UCSF, Stanford, Wash U, MIT, Olin College of Engineering, UT Southwestern) and industry (Boston Scientific, Preserve, Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital). She is an appointed member of the National ACC Electrophysiology Leadership Council, Heart Rhythm Society Emerging Leaders, HRS Research Committee, and serves as ACC delegate to the AMA, directly shaping clinical cardiology guidelines.
