About Richard Price, MPA

Richard Price is the founder/president of the PulsePoint Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with public safety agencies working to improve cardiac arrest survival.

Richard had a thirty-three-year fire service career and is a retired fire chief. Price has a strong technical background and is well known for using technology to shape management processes and encourage civic engagement. Price is a Government Technology’s Top 25 innovators in the public sector, an American Heart Association “Heart of Gold” honoree, a JEMS EMS10 Innovator of the Year.

Price holds a Master’s in Public Administration from California State University Hayward. Price is an Executive Fire Officer Program graduate at the National Fire Academy in Maryland, a graduate of the Harvard University Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at the Kennedy School of Government, and the Strategic Management of Public Organizations Program at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. Price is also a graduate of the Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) Executive Leaders Program at the Naval Postgraduate School.
