Shivani Fernando

Shavini Fernando, the founder and CEO of OxiWear, is a seasoned web designer and developer who specializes in video games and virtual reality (VR). She graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a B.S. in Computer Science, an M.B.A. from Edith Cowan University, and a MA in Communication, Culture, and Technology (CCT) from Georgetown University. After being diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension (PH) as a result of Eisenmenger syndrome, she created OxiWear, the first ear-wearable pulse oximeter for continuous oxygen monitoring and low oxygen warning for herself and the greater community at risk of hypoxia.
