About Yekaterina (Kate) Spivak, DMSc, PA-C, FHRS, CCDS, IBCLC
Yekaterina (Kate) Spivak, DMSc, PA-C, FHRS, CCDS, IBCLC is dedicated to advancing healthcare delivery through innovation, education, and expanded access to high-quality cardiovascular care. She is a Pediatric Electrophysiology Physician Associate (PA) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a graduate of the Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program at the University of Lynchburg. She is also a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) and Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS). Kate has more than a decade of clinical experience with a background spanning pediatrics, neurology, and general cardiology.
Kate contributes to national initiatives through the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), PACES (Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society), and the Academy of Physician Associates in Cardiology (APAC), where she serves as Electrophysiology Co-Chair. She is also a member of the PACES Education Subcommittee, HRS Patient and Caregiver Committee and a graduate of the HRS LEAP (Leadership and Education for Allied Professionals) program. Her research on the role of Advanced Practice Providers in electrophysiology received awards for Best in Allied Professional and Best in Women in EP in 2026.
Outside of her clinical role, Kate is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), medical device patent holder, co-founder of an exited startup, and founder of a breastfeeding support practice. Originally from New York City, she now lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and two children.
