Yenn-Jiang Lin

Dr. Yenn-Jiang Lin, MD, PhD, specializes in analyzing atrial fibrillation signals using innovative medical signal processing techniques to uncover theoretical mechanisms behind cardiac electrical behavior. Holding a Bachelor of Medicine from Taipei Medical University and a PhD from National Yang-Ming University, he is the Director of Internal Medicine at Taichung Veterans General Hospital since 2017 and a professor at National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University since 2016. He is also the director of committee of digital medicine of APHRS.
Focusing on adult cardiology, electrophysiology, arrhythmias, and catheter ablation, Dr. Lin’s extensive contributions include over 590 original research papers, numerous awards such as the Taiwan Veterans General Hospital Outstanding Research Award, and international surgical demonstrations. His groundbreaking work produced a signal analysis model for complex atrial fibrillation signals, published in prestigious journals like Circulation and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Lin’s model identifies key features of disordered atrial activity and enhances AF ablation procedures, influencing global guidelines. His expertise also extends to ventricular tachycardia catheter ablation techniques and rare genetic lethal ventricular tachycardia. Demonstrating surgical techniques at major medical centers worldwide solidifies his reputation as a respected figure in the medical community.
