About Alan Cheng, MD, MBA
Alan Cheng, MD, MBA, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management Operating Unit. He earned his MD degree from Yale Medical School and served as an intern and a resident in internal medicine on the Osler Medical Service at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He remained at Hopkins for his general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship training. He joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins University and served as the Director of the Arrhythmia Device Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the principal investigator of two NIH R01 grants, one focused on sudden cardiac death and another on population based data on atrial fibrillation.
