About Alessandra Pina, MBBS, MD
Alessandra Pina, MD, is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiology fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and a Higher Degree by Research candidate at the University of Adelaide. After earning her medical degree in 2017 and completing advanced cardiology training with honors at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy, she practiced as a cardiologist in both electrophysiology and general cardiology before relocating to Australia in 2024.
Dr. Pina’s research focuses on atrial fibrillation, integrated models of care, digital health, and patient education in cardiac rhythm management. She currently coordinates clinical trials evaluating integrated care and digital education strategies for patients with atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias and collaborates on research related to atrial fibrillation ablation, procedural outcomes, and translational electrophysiology. Her work also includes study design, clinical trial coordination, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, reflecting her commitment to advancing evidence-based care and innovation in cardiac electrophysiology.
