Anthony Pompa

Anthony Pompa is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a pediatric cardiac electrophysiologist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of inherited and acquired heart rhythm disorders in children and adults with congenital heart disease, with expertise in catheter ablation, cardiac implantable electronic devices, and the management of complex pediatric arrhythmias.

Dr. Pompa earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine before completing his pediatrics residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He subsequently completed an advanced fellowship in Pediatric Electrophysiology at the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Pompa’s research focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric inherited arrhythmia syndromes, including Long QT Syndrome and Brugada Syndrome. His work also explores supraventricular tachycardia, digital health applications in pediatric cardiology, and optimization of cardiac implantable electronic devices for children and patients with congenital heart disease. He is committed to advancing pediatric electrophysiology through clinical research, innovation, and physician education.
