Dr. Elaine Wan is the Esther Aboodi Associate Professor of Medicine in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons and attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She is trained in Internal Medicine, Clinical Cardiology and is an invasive cardiac electrophysiologist. She is the Director of Electrophysiology Research and oversees all electrophysiology clinical trials.
She is the recipient of several competitive research grants including NIH NHLBI R01, K08, R03. She is also a recipient of the American Heart Association Scientist Development Grant. She is the chairperson of the Heart Rhythm Society Digital Health Committee, and chairperson of the NIH Imaging Technology Development Study Section and a member of the American Heart Association Committee on Electrocardiography and Arrhythmias. She has published over 100 manuscripts in high impact journals such as Nature Medicine, Circulation Research, Journal of Clinical Investigation and Journal of American College of Cardiology. She has written 3 book chapters and given invited talks around the world.
