About Eugenio Cingolani, MD

Eugenio Cingolani, MD is Director of the Cardiogenetics and Preclinical Research programs at the Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute. His research and clinical practice focus on heart rhythm disorders and electrophysiology. He has been involved in multiple research projects, investigating basic mechanism of arrhythmias and developing novel therapies for heart rhythm disorders. He brings more than 15 years of experience in editorial service, peer review, and editorial board service on journals such as The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology and Trends in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Cingolani earned his medical degree from the University of La Plata – School of Medicine in Argentina and served as chief resident during his training in internal medicine at CEMIC University Hospital in Buenos Aires. He also completed his postdoctoral fellowship and internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Cingolani went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and subspecialty training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Cedars-Sinai.
