About Nikolaos Dagres, MD
Dr. Dagres is an interventional electrophysiologist at the Heart Center Leipzig in Germany. His research focus is sudden cardiac death and the conduction of randomized trials. He is co-leader of the PROFID project, international chief investigator of the PROFID randomized trial studying contemporary strategies for primary prevention of sudden cardiac death after myocardial infarction, coordinating investigator of the PVI-SHAM-AF randomized trial that compares pulmonary vein isolation with sham procedure for atrial fibrillation and deputy chair of the steering committee of the RESET-CRT randomized trial that compares CRT-D with CRT-P. He is particularly interested in the application of digital solutions in modern medicine and the way that these will affect clinical practice.
