About Ivo Roca-Luque, MD, PhD

Dr. Ivo Roca-Luque is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, where he serves as Head of the Arrhythmia Section and leads the Biopathology and Treatment of Cardiac Arrhythmias Research Group. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona and is internationally recognized for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias. His clinical and research interests include ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation ablation, advanced cardiac imaging integration, non-invasive mapping, electroporation, and digital twin technologies for personalized arrhythmia management.

Dr. Roca-Luque has performed more than 1,000 complex catheter ablation procedures and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He is a frequent invited speaker and international proctor for advanced electrophysiology procedures at major scientific meetings, including those of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and Heart Rhythm Society (HRS). In addition to his clinical and research leadership, he directs EHRA accreditation courses and plays an active role in training the next generation of electrophysiologists through international educational programs and doctoral supervision.
