Matthew McKillop

Matthew S. McKillop, MD, FHRS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiac electrophysiologist and Medical Director of the Electrophysiology Program at Baptist Health Jacksonville. With nearly two decades of experience, his clinical expertise includes atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction ablation, supraventricular tachycardia and atrial flutter ablation, and complex cardiac implantable electronic device procedures, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices.

Dr. McKillop earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he also completed his internal medicine residency, served as chief resident, and completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society and has contributed to peer-reviewed research in cardiac electrophysiology, including work focused on catheter ablation, cardiac rhythm disorders, device therapy, and reducing fluoroscopy exposure during electrophysiology procedures.
