About Nazem Akoum, MD, MS, FHRS

Nazem Akoum, MD, MS, fHRS is a board certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist. He is the section head of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Graham and Brenda Siddall Endowed Professor in Arrhythmia Research, Director of the Atrial Fibrillation Program, and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. His clinical interests include treating patients with atrial fibrillation, flutter and other supraventricular tachycardias, ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation, as well as slow and premature heartbeats. He has more than a decade of experience utilizing the latest technologies in catheter ablation, cardiac imaging and device implants for pacing and stroke prevention.
