Sean McCormick

Sean McCormick, MD, is Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member of Atrility Medical, a medical technology company focused on improving the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias in critically ill patients. A physician and healthcare executive, Dr. McCormick brings more than 20 years of clinical and industry experience spanning patient care, clinical informatics, medical affairs, digital health, and healthcare innovation.

At Atrility Medical, Dr. McCormick leads the company’s growth and advancement of the AtriAmp, a cardiac monitoring technology designed to provide continuous atrial electrograms to support more timely and accurate identification of arrhythmias in postoperative cardiac patients. He is also helping guide Atrility’s expansion into software and artificial intelligence, leveraging high-quality cardiac waveform data to develop AI-enabled tools for arrhythmia detection and prediction.

Prior to joining Atrility, Dr. McCormick held leadership and advisory roles across healthcare and technology, including work in medical affairs, clinical decision support, and clinical informatics. Earlier in his career, he practiced as a pediatrician and worked at Epic, where he focused on physician clinical informatics.

Dr. McCormick earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and is board certified in pediatrics. His career reflects a longstanding interest in bringing together clinical medicine, technology, and entrepreneurship to develop solutions that improve patient care and healthcare delivery.
