About Yaariv Khaykin, MD

Dr. Yaariv Khaykin completed his medical school, Internal Medicine and Cardiology training in Toronto. He then trained in electrophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic. In 2004 Dr. Khaykin returned to Southlake Regional Health Centre to start the Atrial Fibrillation and Complex Ablation program, which has proven to be one of the most successful in the country. His clinical expertise includes coronary angiography, electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures, Left atrial appendage occluder, pacemaker, ICD and CRT implantation, and laser lead extraction. Recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Khaykin has a number of publications in leading journals with research interests involving multicentre controlled trials and real-world experience comparing methods of AF and VT ablation, 3D and ultrasound guidance of ablation, novel antiarrhythmic agents, and health economics. Dr Khaykin has contributed to his role as the Chief Medical Information Officer and has recently focused on the development of the Myant Textile Computing platform for multimodal biometric monitoring.
