About Ami Bhatt, MD
Dr. Ami Bhatt is Chief Medical Officer at WHOOP and former Chair of the FDA Digital Health Advisory Committee. A Harvard and Yale-trained cardiologist, formerly Chief Innovation Officer at the American College of Cardiology and a physician at Massachusetts General Hospital, she has built her career across clinical medicine, institutional leadership, and the governance of technology in healthcare.
As Chief Medical Officer at WHOOP, Dr. Bhatt joins the leadership team to support the clinical and scientific strategy behind continuous physiologic monitoring, working to turn everyday wearable data into something clinicians can trust and patients can act on. As Chair of the FDA Digital Health Advisory Committee, she helped lead discussions on governance that shape how AI tools enter clinical practice.
Her authority comes from decades spent in healthcare systems: designing telecardiology programs, leading clinical research, and building the infrastructure that lets innovation scale without leaving patients behind. At the ACC, as its Chief Innovation Officer, she launched wearable guidance and founded the AI-Enabled Clinician initiative. Dr Bhatt also built partnerships across federal agencies, technology companies, and medical societies to keep the voice of cardiology in the room where decisions get made.
Dr. Bhatt speaks to boardrooms and keynote stages, contributes to national policy, and has worked internationally to advance equitable, evidence-grounded digital health. What drives her is straightforward: high-quality care that works, for everyone it was built to serve.
