Andrea Swain

Andrea Swain, MBA, is Vice President and General Manager, Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services at Medtronic. She is an experienced medical technology executive with a background spanning cardiovascular diagnostics, cardiac rhythm management, global portfolio strategy, business development, health economics, and market access.

During her career at Medtronic, Swain has held leadership roles focused on developing and advancing technologies for the diagnosis and management of cardiac rhythm disorders. Her experience includes leading global growth and portfolio strategies across cardiac pacing and rhythm management technologies, with a focus on translating clinical and market needs into innovative solutions that improve patient care.

Swain has also contributed to cardiovascular health economics and outcomes research, including published research evaluating healthcare utilization and costs associated with implantable cardioverter-defibrillator therapies. She holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, as well as undergraduate degrees in Physiology and Genetics, Cell Biology and Development from the University of Minnesota.
