Henry Huang

Henry Huang, MD, FHRS is Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Chicago Medicine. An internationally recognized cardiac electrophysiologist, he specializes in the treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, with expertise in catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, pulsed field ablation (PFA), and autonomic modulation therapies.

Dr. Huang is a physician-scientist whose research focuses on advancing novel ablation technologies and improving outcomes for patients with atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. His work has explored the biophysics of radiofrequency ablation, development of innovative PFA catheter systems, and cardioneuroablation for the treatment of vagally mediated arrhythmias. He has authored more than 180 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology.

A sought-after national and international speaker, Dr. Huang is committed to advancing the field of electrophysiology through clinical innovation, translational research, and physician education. In 2025, he joined the University of Chicago as Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology, where he leads initiatives in patient care, research, and fellowship training while continuing to develop next-generation therapies for cardiac rhythm disorders.
