Hitendra Patel

Dr. Patel earned his Medical Degree from The University of Wales College of Medicine. He completed his junior residency at New York Infirmary-Beekman Downtown Hospital and his senior residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary-Critical Care Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.

He was on faculty at Marshall University School of Medicine (now Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine-Marshall University), in Huntington, WV, and the Medical Director of Sleep Lab at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He joined Wellstar in 1998 and has served as the Medical Director of the Wellstar Sleep Program since 2011.
