Jason Roberts

Dr. Jason Roberts is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at Hamilton Health Sciences, a Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), and an Associate Professor of Medicine at McMaster University. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in inherited arrhythmia syndromes, cardiovascular genetics, and precision medicine, with a research program focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of genetic cardiac rhythm disorders through novel drug and gene-based therapies.

Dr. Roberts completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and advanced fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he also earned a Master of Advanced Study in Clinical Research (Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics). His work has contributed to the development of the first point-of-care genetic test used in clinical medicine and has advanced the understanding of inherited arrhythmia syndromes and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathies. He serves as Director of the Inherited Arrhythmia Clinic at Hamilton Health Sciences and leads multiple clinical trials evaluating innovative therapies for patients with inherited cardiac diseases. Dr. Roberts has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is widely recognized for advancing precision cardiovascular medicine through translational research and international collaboration.
