Zhijun Sun

Zhijun Sun, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist and cardiovascular researcher in the Department of Cardiology at Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University in Beijing, China. His clinical and research interests include cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmia management, cardiac pacing, and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Sun has contributed to research examining advanced cardiac pacing strategies, including left bundle branch pacing and its effects on ventricular mechanical synchronization. His electrophysiology research has also addressed radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, long-term performance of cardiac pacing leads, and implantable cardiac monitoring.

More recently, Dr. Sun served as a corresponding author on a 2025 study evaluating the real-world use of insertable cardiac monitors in China, including their application in patients with syncope, palpitations, and cryptogenic stroke.
